The hotel was built in Soviet times (1962) not far from Krestovsky and Kamenny islands with their beautiful parks and public gardens. That is why the nearby area is green and picturesque what makes it ideal for summer walks during the white nights period. The Vyborgskaya hotel is located within 10 min walk to the nearest metro (subway) station "Chernaya Rechka" and about 25 min drive to the city center. In 2003-2004 the hotel was partly renovated and nowadays it offers comfortable rooms with private bathroom and modern furniture. The hotel still has rooms without facilities (in the room there is only wash-bowl) and rooms before reconstruction. The offered accommodation is basic and not expensive. There is a restaurant and several bars in the hotel.
